RIM to License BlackBerry Technology on Motorola Phones

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - April 22, 2004

Research In Motion has announced a licensing agreement with Motorola, Inc. Motorola will be able to add BlackBerry services like BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Web Client to its smart phones.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server allows users to access their email and other information on their company's servers if they're running Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino.

Users can also access their personal and corporate email accounts with the BlackBerry Web Client.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and RIM said further details would be announced at a later time.
