News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - June 18, 2005

Want a free Blackberry? Just open a checking account at PNC Bank. PNC Bank is offering a free BlackBerry 7290 if you switch your business or personal account to their bank.

Here's how it works. You must open an account in a PNC Bank branch located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, Virginia, Maryland or Washington D.C. You pay them $150 and get a $150 rebate with the device. You also pay a $36 activation fee and signup for a minimum 2 year service agreement at $74.98 monthly.

Here is some of the fine print:

Customer will pay $150.00 (credit card required) and will receive a $150.00 mail in rebate with the device. Customer must pass service provider credit review. Offer good only in the USA and only where service is available. Early termination fee applies. Shipping, handling and applicable taxes extra. Must be a resident of or apply for and open a checking account at a PNC Bank branch in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia in order to qualify for this offer.

Offer may be modified or withdrawn at any time without prior notice and may vary by market."

This BlackBerry sells for about $349.00.
