RIM Wins Patent Case in Germany

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 30, 2006

RIM seems to be having more luck in Germany lately than in the US. Unlike in the US Federal Courts RIM has received a favorable rating from a German patent court that ruled in its favor against patent-holding company InPro. InPro claimed that certain BlackBerry products had infringed a patent in Germany but the patent court did not agree.

A hearing in the US is still set for Feb 24, when a Federal judge will decide if there will actually be an injunction against the Blackberry maker, forcing a shutdown of all us Blackberry service. Stay tuned.
