AppleBerry in the Works?

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - June 05, 2006

According to Peter Misek, an analyst with Canaccord Captial Inc., a partnership between Apple and BlackBerry maker Research in Motion could be formed soon. Don't believe it? Misek also accurately predicted a partnership between RIM and Intel last year.

"Such a deal would have huge merit because each company lacks what the other provides. RIM wants a firm foothold in the consumer market and Apple doesn't have a presence in the booming wireless data sector, he said."

Misek says Apple could create a cellphone that would combine iPod functionality with RIM's wireless technology, or RIM could embed iTunes music into a BlackBerry. In either case, would they call it an AppleBerry?
