First-ever BlackBerry Store Opens

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - December 10, 2007

Reasearch in Motion has partnered with a local Detroit area wireless company to open the first ever BlackBerry store. The retail store is an exclusive deal between Research in Motion and Wireless Giant, a chain headquartered in Madison Heights.

The store center offers BlackBerry smartphones, accessories, and related software, and can activate a BlackBerry on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

There are currently no plans to build another store, said Nadine Stafford, marketing director for Wireless Giant. "It's a concept store and we don't know where it'll go from here," she said.
