Blackberry 8820 to Include WiFi?

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 21, 2007

The Boy Genius is at it again with news of an upcoming Blackberry 8820 and some interesting additions to it. We've barely gotten the Blackberry 8800 out of the gates and we're already looking towards the next Blackberry.

Today's release of the first public version of BlackBerry OS 4.2.1.x for Cingular tells the story. According to The Boy Genius there is evidence that the next Blackberry 8820 will include WiFi. As you can see in the picture, the Device.xml file that comes with OS 4.2.0.109 for the Cingular 8800c tells the story.

While the details may not be completely clear, it shows that the 8820 will have a GPRS/WLAN radio stack, as well as the customary support for voice-activated dialing and push-to-talk capabilities.

Unfortunately there is still no information about including a camera. Keep your fingers crossed.
