We were all surprised awhile back when Research in Motion debuted a white version of the Blackberry Pearl after getting so used to the black version. Now comes word that they might release another color, red.

According to The Boy Genius, a source has confirmed that a dark chrome red version of the Blackberry Pearl is in the works. Production on the new colored version has apparently already begun and the device will debut in about a month. The source also says that the red version will be debuting at T-mobile.

A month isn't too long so we'll know in short order whether the rumor is true or not. If The Boy Genius has posted it, we suspect it is true.
