Asus says Aura concept phone is fake

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 01, 2007

A few weeks ago we told you about an Asus "Aura" concept phone that was supposed to take on the iPhone. Now comes word that the company is calling that concept phone a fake.

ThinkTechno is reporting they received an email from Asus claiming the concept phone is indeed a fake.

"It has come to our attention that the concept phone Aura design bears the company logo and name of ASUSTeK Computer Inc. This concept phone and its design however,is not sanctioned or supported by our company. As this concept phone is not real, we would like you to please remove it from your website."

If it really is fake that is a shame. Now to the next question -- what if the company email is deemed to be fake in a few weeks?
