Mercedes Bluetooth module now supports Blackberry

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 01, 2007

Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH has announced that it is extending its range of communication accessories to include the Blackberry. The new Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth® (HFP) telephone module allows you to use a BlackBerry in a Mercedes-Benz passenger car without physically connecting it to the vehicle. The accessory works in nearly all new Mercedes passenger cars.

The new accessory from Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH makes using the phone while in the car safer and more convenient because the handheld or mobile phone can be left in your jacket pocket or handbag. The best part is that the connection to the device happens automatically after the initial pairing of the devices. Integration then allows control of the telephone functions via the multifunction steering wheel, the audio system and the central instrument cluster display.

It looks like all you Mercedes owners can throw away your Bluetooth headset. Now you're on speakerphone.
