Does Blackberry Use Cause Stress?

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 06, 2007

PC World's Cathy Lu says her Blackberry causes her stress and apparently she's not alone. According to a recent study by MIT Sloan School of Management, Blackberry use can cause stress.

According to the study, 90 percent of subjects claimed they felt "some degree of compulsion," checking their e-mail at times when they were not working. Why do we feel the compulsion to check email during our social time? The study says it stems from our managers. Once the higher-ups start checking their email, we feel the need to do the same.

Do you think checking your email causes you stress? Perhaps it does, but I'm not keeping mine in the drawer.
