A privately held California based company is suing Research In Motion Ltd., claiming the company infringed on one of its patents. Minerva Industries is seeking royalties of wholesale BlackBerry sales retroactive to 2004.
"At this time, the likelihood of damages or recoveries and the ultimate amounts, if any, with respect to this litigation is not determinable," RIM said in a document filed yesterday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
