Verizon out of BlackBerry Storms already?

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - November 23, 2008

Hundreds of people stood in line at the Verizon store in Manhattan to get their hands on the BlackBerry Storm. After less than an hour the remaining customers were turned away. It seems Verizon ran out of product. The remaining customers caused a scene and the police had to be called.

All across the country there seems to be a shortage of BlackBerry Storms. Verizon says they have plenty of phones but have not given specifics on their inventory. A visit to their web site all of a sudden shows this message:

"Due to limited availability of the BlackBerry® Storm™ 9530 smartphone, orders will ship by 12/15."

Huh? What's going on Verizon? RIM?
