Details have emerged on the FCC's Office of Engineering and Technology web site about a new music device for the BlackBerry. The BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway
will be used to connect a multimedia BlackBerry to a stereo.

"It's about the size of a few crackers and is intended to connect directly to a stereo while wireless Bluetooth technology is used to play music files from a multimedia BlackBerry."

The move will definitely point RIM towards the consumer market and put it head to head with rivals like Apple's iPhone.
