Survey says BlackBerry users save 60 minutes per day

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 05, 2008

Research in Motion claims that users of BlackBerry devices save and average of 60 minutes per day or five hours per week. A research study was conducted by Ipsos Reid, an international market research firm. The study claims that users of BlackBerry devices can turn downtime into productive work time.

"The survey looked at tangible time saving and productivity benefits and found that the efficiency of mobile workers is increased, with the average BlackBerry smartphone user converting an average of 60 minutes downtime into productive time each day. For example, a BlackBerry smartphone user who is travelling or waiting in an airport can use that time productively to catch up on emails and stay in touch with colleagues or clients, which will save them time later in the office. And for workers on the move, BlackBerry smartphones not only increase their productivity, but also that of their overall team, with the research finding that BlackBerry users increase team efficiency by 38%*."
