BlackBerry gets "Bold"

The BlackBerry 9000 has been officially announced and it now has an official name. Research in Motion has branded the BlackBerry 9000 as "Bold." RIM says this device is for those customers "seeking a smartphone that makes a bold statement."

No exact release date has been given but RIM's press release suggests that the new BlackBerry Bold will be around this summer. Pricing is said to be in the $300 - $400 range.
