7digital brings DRM-Free music to BlackBerry

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - October 06, 2009

European online media company 7digital has partnered with RIM to bring over 7 million DRM-Free tracks to the BlackBerry. They have now launched a service in the US that offers single tracks for only $0.77 and most albums for $7.77. The company has released the 7digital Music Store BlackBerry App for the BlackBerry Curve 8900, Bold, and Tour.

"The DRM-free service allows BlackBerry users to download lower bit-rate tracks on the move which are then updated to high-quality 320kbps MP3 automatically, in the background, when a faster Wi-fi connection becomes available."

The 7digital BlackBerry app includes built-in support for stereo Bluetooth streaming. You can pick up your copy at the BlackBerry App World or at www.7digital.com/bb.
