BlackBerry Niagara headed to Verizon as World Phone?

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 28, 2009

The latest BlackBerry to come down the pike is apparently heading for Verizon. BGR reports the BlackBerry 9630, codenamed "Niagara", will end up at Verizon as a World Edition phone. The 9630 will include CDMA 1x, EV-DO Rev. A, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, and UMTS. Interestingly, it does not have Wi-Fi, but does support EVDO Rev. A.

The 9630 also has a 3.2 megapixel camera and will likely run OS 4.7.1. No release date is known at this time.
