Verizon swapping out BlackBerry Storm 2's with defective screens

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 10, 2010

It looks like the BlackBerry Storm 2's touchscreen has been having problems. Reports are that the lower left corners of the Storm 2 have issues and Verizon is doing something about it. BerryScoop is reporting that Verizon is swapping out their existing stock of Storm 2 9550's for new Storm 2's with silicone actuators that are supposed to help with the tactile response of the screen.

Interestingly, we haven't heard of any problems with the Storm 2's screen, but there must be enough of an issue for Verizon to be taking this step. No other web sites have really reported on the issue either.

All stores should have the old stock out by March 11 so get on down and get a new one if you're having issues.
