RIM recently announced that some exciting things were coming to the BlackBerry Messenger. Was this what they had in mind? Using the new Barcode generator app on Facebook, you can now add your BlackBerry Messenger barcode to your Facebook profile. Why would you want to do that? We're not sure but I guess it's cool to play with.

You can change the colors of your barcode and the background and add your PIN if you'd like. Other than that it's pretty limited at this point. I'm sure more functionality will be coming in the future.
