BlackBerry maker posts impressive Q2 results

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - September 17, 2010

All the recent bad news for RIM has not seemed to affect sales. While talk of RIM becoming the next Palm has been floating around, RIM has simply focused on sales. The company posted their second quarter results and the results are impressive. Revenue grew 31% over the same quarter last year, and earnings per share grew by 76%. BlackBerry shipments grew more than 45% over the same quarter last year.

Looking forward to the thrid quarter RIM expects more good things. The company says they expect revenue for Q3 to be between $5.30-$5.55 billion. Where is all of that Android and iOS competition that is supposed to be hurting RIM? They seem to be holding their own.
