Arianna Huffington accused of texting on BlackBerry on flight

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 12, 2011

Arianna Huffington, who runs the Huffington Post, was involved in a minor verbal dispute with another passenger over her texting on a flight from Washington DC to New York. Ms. Huffington and the other passenger were met by the Port Authority Police at LaGuardia Airport in New York when the United Airlines flight landed.

Ellis Belodoff, 53, of Plainview, Long Island was offended that Huffington continued to use her BlackBerry after the captain had instructed passengers to turn off electronic devices. AOL News reports Belodoff allegedly said, "Hey, lady! Don't you speak English?"

After being questioned, Huffington and Belodoff were released without being charged.
