Porsche designed BlackBerry P9981 launched in Dubai

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - October 27, 2011

RIM has officially launched the Porsche Designed BlackBerry P9981 in Dubai. Made by the Porsche Design team, the P9981 is just like the Bold Touch 9900 with a case designed by Porsche Design. It has a a 1.2GHz processor, 768MB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 5MP rear camera, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1.

Several months ago we started to see leaked photos of the P9981 but nobody knew what it was. The design was so much different than the current crop of BlacKBerrys with its sharp edges. We finally have official word that it is the Porsche Design BlackBerry.

Just like all Porsche products, they sell at a premium price. The BlackBerry P9881 will sell for a ridiculous $2000, and will only be available in Porsche Design stores around the world. Nice.
