How to remove Carrier IQ from your BlackBerry

Research in Motion has stated that it does not install Carrier IQ on its devices, and does not authorize resellers to install it. However, last week some internal T-Mobile docs were leaked and it turns out T-Mobile was installing Carrier IQ on the touch-screen Bold 9900, the Curve 9360 and the new full touch-screen Torch 9810.

If you do not want to be tracked by T-Mobile, RIM has instructions on how to remove Carrier IQ. The procedure is the same for removing any third party app. Just look for an app on your BlackBerry called "IQ Agent," and follow the instructions at the link below.
