Paul R. La Monica has a piece on CNN Money that cites all the very poor things that have happened at Research in Motion as of late, and doesn't paint a rosie picture for the future. Despite the fact that RIM's shares are insanely cheap these days, trading below expected earnings, La Monica says "it's a trap." With all of the bad news as of late, La Monica obviously thinks it's over for RIM. Their forecast for Q4 is dire, BlackBerry 10 smartphones won't be out until late 2012, the stock plunged 12% today and is down 77% YTD.

We'd really like to post some good news for RIM. A lot of people love their BlackBerrys, but 2011 has been a bad year for RIM and the outlook doesn't look much better for the future. RIM seems to be following down the same path that Palm traveled.
