Illinois Senator Mark Kirk had a stroke this past weekend that required emergency surgery. After the surgery his doctors could tell he was getting better when he asked for his BlackBerry.
The doctors say Senator Kirk has a long road of recovery ahead, but he's doing well.
“He asked for his Blackberry yesterday so he’s ready to go back to work,” Fessler said. However, he added, doctors did not give it to him.
