After recently announcing the company's departure from the Japanese market, BlackBerry may also be considering an exit from the South Korean market. Korean news wire Yonhap claims anonymous "industry sources" have said soft sales in Korea may cause BlackBerry to pack up and conceded the market for now. Samsung and Apple clearly dominant there and BlackBerry maybe looking to focus their attention elsewhere.
BlackBerry has said it will continue to support customers in Japan, and I would suspect their stance would be the same in Korea. The company must focus where they have the most traction until they get their mojo back. It looks like Asia will have to be on the back burner for now.
