BlackBerry announced Thursday that BB10 now has 100,000 apps in the BlackBerry World store. It was just seven weeks ago that they announced 70,000 BlackBerry 10 apps. BlackBerry is far behind Android and iOS, but they are starting to pick up the pace.
BlackBerry 10 still has a ways to go as there are several top apps that aren't yet available on the platform. BlackBerry made a point today of mentioning all the new apps that are available for BB10.
It will be interesting to see how many apps they have 18 months from now. Although I don't think BlackBerry will return to its once dominant position in the smartphone market, I don't think they're going anywhere either. They have a dedicated user base who still favor BlackBerry over everyone else.
