As if BlackBerry didn't have enough on its plate already, the company was dealing with a shareholder lawsuit accusing them of fraud. Fortunately the lawsuit was dismissed. U.S. District Judge Richard Sullivan in Manhattan ruled in favor of the company because the plaintiffs "failed to adequately allege that the company or various executives had made deliberate and material misstatements."
The lawsuit was originally filed in 2011 by investor Robert Shemian. The lawsuit sought to recover losses for shareholders who bought the stock between December 2010 and June 2011.
