According to N4BB, BlackBerry is working on a device that will use a 64-bit octa-core processor. The mystery device, codenamed "Ontario" will supposedly launch in 2015. N4BB claims the new device will use a 2.3GHz Snapdragon MSM8974 quad-core Krait processor.
Eight core Android phones are starting to pop up, but this would be a very big jump for BlackBerry if the rumor is true.
N4BB claims to have solid sources, and we have no reason to doubt them. It is unclear however, whether this project will go forward under new CEO John Chen. If it does go through, BlackBerry had better have something else in the bag. The summer of 2015 is a long way away and the world is not waiting for BlackBerry.
