BlackBerry QNX is the division of BlackBerry that flies just below the radar. We don't hear about it much, but QNX is making headway in the automotive industry. In fact, many in car entertainment systems are using QNX now.
BlackBerry's QNX division announced a new OS to run vehicle safety systems. QNX OS for Automotive Safety 1.0 is a back-end system designed to run vehicle safety information. The new OS addresses the demand for digital instrument clusters, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and heads up displays.

"While automakers such as Audi, Land Rover, and Jaguar already use the existing QNX OS for digital instrument clusters, this is our first OS that is set to be certified to the (fairly new) ISO 26262 safety standard," a BlackBerry spokeswoman said.
