BlackBerry released its earnings today and it was a big surprise. So many people were expecting losses from BlackBerry, but they actually made gains. BlackBerry earned an adjusted 4 cents a share, up from a loss of 8 cents in the fourth quarter of 2014. The company had $660 million in revenue and shipped 1.6 million smartphones. Shares of BlackBerry were up after the announcement.
On a conference call CEO John Chen said BlackBerry's fiscal house is in order.
The turnaround continues and BlackBerry is doing better than expected. John Chen has been the recipe for BlackBerry and has already proven his worth.

"We are a little ahead of our turnaround milestone," he said. "We're only halfway through; now the focus is [on] stabilizing revenue."
